The 50 metre rifle events will be held at the Sinclair Range, St John's. This is in the centre of the Island and approximately a 20 minute drive from Douglas. The Range has 24 permanently installed Sius electronic targets. There is a large covered firing area and a Clubhouse with refreshments throughout the day. The Clubhouse and facilities are wheelchair friendly. See the side panel for maps.
Events will be run in accordance with the 2021 ISSF Rules -
Saturday morning has two prone squads, followed by 3x40 in the afternoon. The prone squads are classified (see the entry form for details) and, subject to the number of entries, there will be separate 3P reckonings for Men and Women.
Sunday morning also has two prone squads followed by a new 30 shots Junior competition. Sunday afternoon will have prone finals -
Equipment Control:
An ISSF equipment control service will be available.
Shooting mats:
Shooting mats are provided as part of the Range equipment. Do NOT bring your own.
NB: All shooting is on Sius electronic targets and instruction will be given to anyone uncertain about use of the equipment.
Good Friday, 15th April
The Range is available for training between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm.
Saturday 16th April
1. 3 Positions Rifle Men
A 3x40 event, with Final.
2. 3 Positions Rifle Women
A 3x40 event, with Final.
3. Prone 60 shots
An individual 60 shot prone event, with Class X, A, B, C, Junior (U21) and Veteran (60+) awards.
4. Women's Open Championship
An individual prone event for women comprising 60 shots on both Saturday and Sunday. Targets are shot concurrently with Competition 3 (Sat) and Competition 6 (Sun). Automatic entry, and it's FREE!
5. Blind Pairs -
We pair you up by random draw once things have started. Each member shoots 60 shots, concurrent with Competition 3. Entry is FREE!
Easter Sunday, 17th April
6. Prone 60 shots, with Finals
An individual prone event comprising 60 shots Qualification and Final. Separate Finals for Men and Women. Class awards across X, A, B, C, Junior (U21) and Veteran (60+) will also be made based on the 60 shot Qualification.
7. Junior Prone 30 shots
A new competition to encourage Juniors, with a Final.
8. Teams of 2 -
An event for teams of 2, each member shooting 60 shots. Targets are shot concurrently with Competition 6. Entries can be made via the entry form or on the day.
9. Open Weekend Aggregate
Awarded to the competitor with the highest aggregate Qualification scores from the 60 shot prone events, Competitions 3 and 6. NB: A separate entry is required for this competition.
